![]() Loose they usually go for RM99 ($25) and MISB I’ve seen them go for RM200 ($50). They aren’t obscenely expensive but they’re not exactly cheap either. The other thing is the rarity and cost of these guys. They’re small and kinda complicated so I’m afraid kids will break them. These bros are more on the adult collector side of things. The gimmick is that they’re two robots that turn into one vehicle. The closest thing the whole set has to a gimmick is that Skids has a spring-loaded dramatic head reveal. Surprisingly, there’s none! There’s no Mech Alive to be seen here. ![]() His hips are ball-jointed, he has thigh swivels and bending knees. His shoulders rotate as well as go in and out. Mudflap has slightly less posability than his brother but he has less kibble getting in the way. The best part of the robot mode is honestly that the ice cream light is still on full display.Īlso, Mudflap has a face even uglier than Skids. Actually, there’s quite a bit of vehicle mode panels but they’re arranged so that it’s not too obvious what the are. Since Mudflap was the back half of the ice cream truck he has decidedly less vehicle mode bits on display than his brother Skids. He has a waist swivel! His hips are ball-jointed, he bends at the knees and he rotates below the knees. He rotates as well as goes in and out at the shoulders. His backpack kibble gets in the way a bit but it can be worked around. Skids is pretty posable even though he’s only the size of a Scout. It does affect his stability a bit but Skids can still stand up nice and stable. While Skids does end up with quite a bit of kibble on his back, it’s not too obnoxious cause it compacts down quite nicely. Skids was the front half of the vehicle mode and now the front of the ice cream truck is his chest! It covers his face! That’s not a bad thing though, cause Skids is kinda ugly. It’s certainly not as bad as their boss’s transformation. Thankfully, it’s not too frustrating even if lining up all the panels and arranging all his limbs can be a bit frustrating. It’s an ROTF transformation which means it is kinda complex. It’s a very nice touch.įor playability, Skids and Mudflap can roll around on all four wheels. I really love the ice cream light on top of the roof. It’s full of detail, nicely painted and is just plain cute. But that decal isn’t on the toy, so I’m not gonna mention it. One of the most memorable things in Revenge Of The Fallen was the fact that there was an ice cream truck Transformer.Īlso, the decal that was on the ice cream truck.
